The Two Jewish States Solution

I heard a funny expression today: People say that the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, is still in active military service. Why? Because, when the Prime Minister served in Sayeret Matkal, one of the IDF Elite Unites, it was under the command of Ehud Barak. Today, the joke is that this has not changed. Mr. Netanyahu is still taking orders from Mr. Barak, even though Barak is only Israel's Defense Minister and Israel's number one operator of removing Jews from land that belongs to state of Israel.
Though the Prime Minister wants people to think he is hawkish, he is in fact not. Ever since he entered office, Mr. Netanyahu has reopened stalled land-for-peace talks and instituted the fiercely unpopular building freeze edict, which is de facto still in place despite protestations to the contrary. To keep the farce "peace process" wheels greased, Mr. Netanyahu put in place an insidious program of ongoing destruction of Jewish-Israeli communities, which started in Judea and Samaria, but with eyes on Jerusalem and eventually even the Golan Heights, and from there, God forbid, as our Forefather Abram told Lot, Genesis Chapter 13, 8. And Abram said to Lot, let it not be a fightbetween me and thee, and between your shepherds and mine, that Brethren we are. 9.After all, the land is before you- kol ha'aretz lefanechah, depart from me;
It is worthwhile mentioning here that even the Prime Minister's father, who passed away yesterday, harshly criticized his son when he, in1997, accepted a partial withdrawal from the Cradle of Judaism, the city of Hebron. In 2005, PM Netanyahu’s father, Benzion Netanyahu, signed a petition, along with several other academia and intellectuals colleagues, opposing Israel's withdrawal of military and Jewish pioneers from the Gaza Strip, known as the unilateral disengagement plan of the then premier Ariel Sharon. The petition described this operation as "a crime against humanity."
The dismantling of Jewish communities and eviction of Jews has not ended with Ariel Sharon.
The Israeli Supreme Court temporary reversal of its recent court order to demolish the Ulpana community has only been a response to intense opposition within Netanyahu's party and the Israeli public in general. Perhaps due to the upcoming elections there is lack of support, at this time for making more Jews homeless.
It is strongly suspected that Mr. Netanyahu’s backing off from the Ulpana community demolishing issue is only a temporary. It is in order to quietly disperse the protestors to this unpopular actions, their executor is Ehud Barak. Despite the distinct lack of public support, it appears that Netanyahu would rather see the Ulpana community and others demolished.
In Migron, another community due for removal, the residents were peacefully induced to sign away their rights to protest and agreed to move to a close by location. However, the government has not agreed to reimburse them or consider any other plan that will allow the Migron residents to continue with their Zionist-pioneering of building and settling the land. The Zionist-pioneering dream and undertaking that was accepted by the world, the People of the Bible are returning to their homeland that God gave His children 2000 years ago.
This practice of one government of Israel after another to abandon Israel’s original “Chalutziyut-pioneering” mission has everyone in Israel worried. Whether one lives in Tel Aviv or Ramat Ha'Golan, the retreating and conceding policies of the government, since 1967, is a reversal in the values that founded the Jewish state. It is a policy ofsubmissiveness and appeasement.
Supporting this practice is the day and night vigorous building in the so-called, “authorized area” for Migron's residents new homes near the community of Psagot's winery. This is a bothersome to Migron’s children, who pass the government's building project near the winery, as they go and come back from school. The kids are not stupid, they get the gist of what is going on and they are worried.
This is nothing less than psychological torture for all of the residents of Migron.
So what is to do about Migron?
As things stand, Migron residents have already conditionally signed away their rights to their land. These conditions are: to leave a civilian Jewish presence on the hill where the community's buildings stand while the Migron residents get a fair day in court and obtaining a signed agreement that the displaced residents will be able to build permanent structures at the bottom of the very same hill. . The very same land for which there is a plan in place for government-sponsored housing that was originally put forth for Migron, and is made up of 500 homes, within the Migron lines.
People are worried. The government seems to have no plan to benefit and protect the land of Israel and its citizens except that of retreat and appeasement. A demoralizing theme for a country with a history founded on pioneering and growth. The government has now harder and harder time convincing people to support any of their retreat actions.
Migron residents to declares statehood. (Don’t laugh). The Residents of Migron should declare themselves an independent Jewish state, raise a flag and get other communities in Judea and Samaria to join them. Legally, there is room for this idea. It seems that prior to 1967, under Jordanian law, the land of Judea and Samaria was up for grabs, as it was uninhabited wasteland. Jordanian law stipulates that such land can be settled and farmed by anyone who wants to take on the task. Now the government of Israel is also giving the land away. Since Israel is abdicating sovereignty over the area, there is no logical reason why the residents of Migron cannot declare statehood. Israeli police and military forces coming to remove them would only have jurisdiction in their own country. Since the government is giving up the land, then, logically, Israeli police have no jurisdiction there and theoretically, even the army has no jurisdiction there either. If Migron's residents were to create their own police and "army," then the government of Israel may face difficulty moving people legally, as Israeli law technically stopped applying to this area when they gave it up and away. It could also be argued that Israeli law finds the Land for Peace to be repulsive as it opposes the basic principles of Jewish statehood and puts Jews in danger.
Other ideas were mulled:
1. Making Jewish safety the number one issue.
The ceding of even one inch of land puts Jews in danger. First, it rewards terrorists in any way shape and form and gives them more space from where they can attack Jews. Second, each bit of land that was given has thus far done two things: Ghettoing further the Israeli population behind border walls to the south, east and north. Also it gives the enemy closer access from which to launch missiles and terror against Jews, whereby the missiles are capable to reach Tel Aviv from the Judea and Samaria and Gaza.
Israel is legally being divested and is voluntarily retreating into ghetto like area where Jews can easily be herded, cut off, separated and killed.
2. A massive public awareness campaign
....to push Israel to stop Land-For-Peace negotiations and to take back areas that were given away.
3. Use the creation of a new Jewish state, by Migron residence, as a publicity campaign to advertise the illogic of giving land and putting Jews in danger.
If that is indeed the case, that Israel will end up retaining sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, then the question needs to be asked: "Why is the government of Israel is giving the land away?" On the other hand, if the government will not claim sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, people will be then forced to conclude that it does not really care who lives in Judea and Samaria anyhow. The government will be then forced to admit that it is better that productive Jews are living there rather than genocidal Arab terrorists.
4. Waken The Sleeping Lion.
A better way is to awaken the sleeping Orthodox Rabbinical lion; a call for rabbis to get involved. There is an urgent need for the Rabbis to get involved and do something that will influences the government of Israel's opinion. In general, the government simply ignore petitions and referendums are as it happened with Sharon’s Likud government before the disengagement from Gaza. They do not bring about reversal in policy. Likud is today again spawning more leaders whose only path to the future is that of retreat and repeating past failures.
Creating a lobby to keep, not just Migron; to add Judea and Samaria, and if needed other relevant areas' such as Sinai and Gaza, to Israel's sovereignty. Since Israeli society is mostly Orthodox anyways, and they are well supported by many American Jews who care about the issue, the Rabbis should come out with such a campaign. The campaign theme would be, that giving land for peace puts Jews in danger as Jewish soul must not be deprived, and thus giving away land must not be allowed and done. Land that was already given away, for possible peace, must be taken back because when it was give away Jews in Israel were put in harm's way. The force which sanctifies human life must be the base of Israeli law and agreements, which Israel has entered into. Best is that one prominent rabbi will rise to the occasion and get all other rabbis behind him.
5. Plan to move all displaced Jewish people to Ramat Aviv, Tel Aviv and Haifa.
There are more kosher pizza restaurants there and if the Tel-Avivians feel threatened from the influx of so many Jews, this might incentive them to demand of the government to annex Judea and Samaria under its sovereignty.
These religious Jews will most certainly have some positive influence on their neighbors. After all, polls show that 80% of Israelis already believe in God. The Department of Education statistics show that 90% of Israeli boys have Bar-Mitzvah; 70% keep kosher and 45% to 60% preserve the Shabbat tradition.
6. Giving Jewish Land To Terrorists is Illogical
It is totally unacceptable that in Israel, it is perfectly acceptable to give land to recognized terrorist groups. Why would Israel not consider giving that very same land to peaceful and productive Jewish-Israeli citizens?
After the Holocaust people asked, "How come that 6,000,000 Jews walked quietly to their deaths?" In studying the case it has been determined that the Jewish leadership of that time was hijacked by the Nazis, who carefully crafted the legality of killing all the Jews of Europe. They legally made it illegal to be a live Jew in the German Empire. That was the first step and the rest is history. The government of Israel is making it illegal to be a Jew in Judea and Samaria.
