Abu Marzook: “There Will Be No Peace With Israel”

Abu Marzook: “There Will Be No Peace With Israel”...WHAT A SURPRISE!!!!!!!!

In a recent interview with Hamas’ #2, Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, there was discussion about a future Palestinian state with Hamas at its head.
Marzook was asked how Hamas would cope with Israel if it was democratically elected to lead the Palestinian people. He responded with abiding only to a temporary a truce, which he has played in the past.
Marzook stressed that engaging in a temporary truce with Israel did not mean recognizing the state of Israel. In the past, he has been quoted saying:
“One of Hamas’ founding principals is that it does not recognize Israel…Therefore, the question of recognizing Israel is definitely not on the table unless it withdraws from ALL the Palestinian lands, not only to the 1967 borders.”

Israel, along with the U.S. and EU define Hamas as a terrorist organization. The three agree that hamas will not be recognized as a political player in the Palestinian arena unless it accepts previous peace initiatives with Israel, recognizes the state and renounces violence.
