A new low for UNESCO - endorsing Hamas' terror university

A new low for UNESCO - endorsing Hamas' terror university

Relations between Israel and UNESCO have reached a new low following the organization's inauguration of a Chair in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Sciences at the Islamic University of Gaza, which Israel identifies with Hamas.
This is a new low even for UNESCO which has been going down hill since accepting Palestine as its 195th member several months ago.
After the acceptance of Palestine, the US cut off its ties and funding to UNESCO.
But I guess they can't take a hint. This endorsement of Hamas' university in Gaza is just like saying I support terrorism.
The Islamic University is so tied to terror that it's labs were used as bomb factories during operation Cast Lead in 2008. Here is the building as seen during the operation.
Islamic university
The university conducts lectures on Hamas’ radical ideology and concentrates on hostility to Israel as a Jewish state.
UNESCO’s motto is that ‘It is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed,’ yet it endorses a university which breeds terrorists for Hamas. Terrorists which then shoot rockets on innocent civilians in Israel.
Even the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit was held hostage here for a few months in 2007.

Endorsing terror is not the way to build peace UNESCO. Click here to send your protest to UNESCO and call on them to respect peace and say NO to terror.
